How we collect, verify and present broker data
This page describes how the catalogue works today. Anything that is planned rather than in operation is labelled as planned.

What the catalogue contains today
Only published brokers are counted. A country counts only when an entity has a verified availability status there: available, restricted or unavailable.
These figures are read from the database each time this page loads, so they follow the catalogue as it changes.

Where the data comes from
Every fact in the catalogue comes from one of these sources:
- the official website, help centre and legal documents of the broker or of the legal entity concerned, such as terms of business, fee schedules and key information documents;
- public registers and websites of financial regulators.
We do not use forums, social media, other comparison or review sites, affiliate materials or advertisements as sources. When an official source does not state something, we do not fill the gap from anywhere else.
Each broker profile lists the links to its sources under “Official sources”.
Data belongs to a legal entity and a country
A broker brand usually operates through several companies. Each company has its own licence, regulator, client protection rules, account types and fees. That is why every fact is recorded for a specific legal entity, and availability and leverage are recorded for that entity in a specific country of residence.
This matters to you because the company that would serve you depends on where you live. A licence held by one company in one country does not mean that the brand serves your country: a broker is shown as available only when this is confirmed for an entity and your country.
Your country is the one you choose in the site header. Until you choose one, it is taken from the country code that our hosting provider attaches to each request. The language of the site never decides the country.
Verification dates
For every financial fact we record the date on which it was last checked against its source, and we show it next to the data on broker profiles and in comparisons. If a fact has not been verified, the page says so instead of showing a date.
Editing a record does not count as verification. A fact receives a new date only when it has been checked again against the official source.
When published fees change, the previous values are kept in a fee history; the database rejects any attempt to edit or delete it.
Brokers change their terms, sometimes without notice. Always check the current terms with the broker before opening an account.
Missing data stays missing
When we have no verified value, the page says “No data” or “No verified data”. We never replace missing data with estimates, averages, zeros or values taken from another entity or country.
- No data on a fee does not mean that the service is free.
- No availability data does not mean that the broker is unavailable in your country.
- A verified “no”, for example a feature that is not offered, is shown as “no”, which is different from missing data.
Amounts keep their original currency. We have no source of exchange rates, so amounts in different currencies are shown side by side and are never converted or ranked.
Why there are no ratings or rankings
BrokerPick does not publish ratings, scores, stars, rankings or “best broker” lists. The catalogue is sorted alphabetically, and comparisons of two brokers put facts side by side without naming a winner.
A rating always expresses someone's opinion about what matters. The right choice depends on things that differ from one person to another: the country you live in, which decides the legal entity, leverage and protection; the way you trade; and the instruments and platforms you use. One score cannot reflect that, so we show the facts and leave the weighing to you.
Commercial relationships are kept apart from broker data
In our database, commercial data, such as the terms of possible affiliate agreements, is kept in a separate part (a separate database schema) from the facts about brokers. The code that builds the catalogue, broker profiles and comparisons does not read that part. Commercial data therefore does not affect which brokers are shown, in what order, or what is said about them.
Today there are no affiliate agreements at all; see the affiliate disclosure.
Automation and API facts
Facts about Expert Advisors, APIs, VPS, scalping, hedging, copy trading and historical data describe only what a broker's legal entity allows or provides. We publish nothing about whether automated strategies work or are profitable.
Reporting an error in the data
If you find a value that differs from the broker's official documents, write to contact@brokerpick.net and include:
- the broker and, if you know it, the legal entity;
- the page and the value you believe is wrong;
- a link to the official source that shows the correct value.
We check every report against the official source. We change a value only when the source confirms the report, and the corrected value receives a new verification date. If the source does not confirm it, the data stays as it is.
